SUP 11-City Tour Non-Stop

Date: 5 September 2026 – 6 September 2026

Location: Leeuwarden, Netherlands

Organizer: SUP 11-City Tour

The SUP 11-City Tour follows the route of Friesland's famous Elfstedentocht ice-skating race, except on stand-up paddleboards, through roughly 220 kilometres of canals and lakes linking the province's eleven historic cities: Leeuwarden, Sneek, IJlst, Sloten, Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Workum, Bolsward, Harlingen, Franeker and Dokkum. The event was founded by Anne-Marie Reichman, a former professional windsurfer who first paddled the route herself in 38 hours to prove it could be done. Most participants take the five-day staged version, held 9 to 13 September 2026. The Non-Stop edition, on 5 and 6 September 2026, is the harder proposition: the full 220 kilometres in one continuous push, through the night, no stages, no reset. Simple and a bit mad. Paddlers deal with wind, rain, cold and darkness on narrow Frisian waterways. It has a fair claim to being one of the toughest endurance races in the sport.
