Hoornse Havenconcerten

Date: 5 September 2026

Location: Harbor area, Hoorn, Netherlands

Organizer: Hoornse Havenconcerten

The Hoornse Havenconcerten is a free open-air concert series in the Karperkuil, a small historic harbour basin in the old centre of Hoorn. The stage is afloat: performances happen aboard a ship moored in the basin, with the audience gathered on the quays and in boats. The 2026 edition is on Saturday 5 September and forms part of Hoorn's Cultural Weekend. The afternoon programme opens at 16:00 with the soul and gospel choir UpTight, joined by Dutch soul singer Shirma Rouse as special guest, with further acts into the evening. Admission is free, as it is every year. Parking near the Karperkuil is scarce, so the organizers suggest arriving by bicycle, on foot, or by sloop, which is a very Hoorn solution. A concert rather than a sailing event, then, but in a Zuiderzee harbour town like this the two are hard to separate.
