De Nieuwe Leeuwarder Jachthaven

Location: Jachthavenlaan 3, Leeuwarden, Netherlands

The Nieuwe Leeuwarder Jachthaven, run by a foundation, is one of the largest covered marinas in Western Europe. It lies on the standing mast route through Leeuwarden at Jachthavenlaan 3, so sailing yachts can reach it and pass on to the Waddenzee or the lakes without lowering the rig. The harbour has nearly 700 places in total: about 500 covered boat houses, 150 open berths, 40 visitor berths with full facilities and 18 camper pitches. On site are a boat lift, a diesel station, a DIY workshop, technical service, a sail maker, a water sports shop, winter storage and showers, with bicycle hire for crews who want to visit the Frisian capital.
