Event Requirements & Disclaimer

World Sailing Day is a global annual celebration of the sport and passion of sailing, bringing together sailors, clubs, schools and enthusiasts from every corner of the world.

Listing requirements

Events must have a clear title and description. Provide as much detail as possible about your sailing activity, including the location, date and any special requirements, so visitors can find and join it easily.

Disclaimer

World Sailing Day does not assume responsibility or liability for event listings published on this website and does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of event information provided by organizers. Always verify details with the organizer. See also our Terms of Service.

What qualifies as an event?

Any sailing-related activity that is open to visitors or participants can be listed: regattas and races, club open days, try-sailing sessions, sailing festivals, training camps, boat shows and maritime heritage days. Events can be one-day or multi-day, free or paid — registration and payment are always handled by the organizer, not by this platform.

Safety & local rules

Organizers are responsible for the safety of their event and for complying with local regulations, insurance requirements and harbour rules. Participants should follow the organizer's safety instructions and check weather and equipment requirements before going on the water. Questions about a specific listing? Contact us or reach out to the organizer directly.

Keeping your listing up to date

If dates, venues or other details change, update your listing through the Organiser Dashboard as soon as possible so visitors always see accurate information. Cancelled events should be unpublished rather than left on the map. Listings that no longer meet these requirements, or that remain outdated after a reminder, may be removed by the World Sailing Day team as described in the Terms of Service.
