Frequently Asked Questions

How do I list a sailing event?

Create a free organiser account, then use the Register Event button on the map. After you submit, your event is reviewed by the World Sailing Day team before it is published on the map.

What is the difference between organiser and participant accounts?

Organisers can create and manage event listings. Participants can browse events and bookmark the ones they want to attend — participation itself is always arranged directly with the event organizer.

Can I edit my event after publishing?

Yes — log in, go to your Organiser Dashboard and click Edit on the event. Changes to a published event may be re-reviewed.

How do I claim my yacht club, marina or other place?

Open your place's detail page and use the claim option, or contact us and we will connect the listing to your account.

What do listings cost?

Every event gets a free listing. Featured and premium tiers with extra visibility are described on the pricing page.

How are events reviewed?

The World Sailing Day team checks each submission against the event requirements — a clear title, description, date and location — before it appears on the public map. You will see the review status in your Organiser Dashboard.

Which countries are covered?

The map is worldwide. Country pages bundle all sailing events and places of a nation on one page — for example sailing events in Germany or in the United Kingdom — and the directories span yacht clubs, marinas, museums and more across every continent.
