iQFOiL International Games #3 Silvaplana

Date: 24 August 2026

Location: Silvaplana, Switzerland

Organizer: iQFOiL Class

The iQFOiL International Games #3 comes to Lake Silvaplana in the Swiss Engadin from 24 to 28 August 2026, doubling as the Last Chance Qualifier on the Olympic windsurfing class circuit. Around 150 athletes from some 20 nations are expected, racing the one-design foiling windsurfer that carries Olympic status through Los Angeles 2028, so results here matter to national squads chasing qualification. The venue is one of the more unusual on the circuit: a mountain lake at roughly 1,800 metres, powered by the Maloja wind, a thermal breeze that arrives most afternoons with enough pressure for full-speed foiling racing. Thin air at altitude changes the tuning game and rewards sailors who adapt fast. The week follows a busy Silvaplana stretch that includes the iQFOiL Youth and Junior Games and the first Masters World Championship from 17 to 21 August. Racing runs from the Sportzentrum Mulets on the northern shore.
