Freestyle Pro Tour Geneva / GVA Wind Festival

Date: 18 September 2026 – 20 September 2026

Location: Geneva, Switzerland

Organizer: GVA Wind Festival / FPT

The GVA Wind Festival brings competitive windsurfing to Tropical Corner, a spot on the shore of Lake Geneva in Cologny. Founded in 2020 by Tropical Corner and Boards magazine, the festival is a stop on the Freestyle Pro Tour, and 2026 marks the fourth time it hosts the tour, from 18 to 20 September. The programme is unusual for a lake venue. It includes the Tow-In World Series Finals, where riders are pulled up to speed behind a boat and launch freestyle tricks right in front of the crowd, plus the biggest FoilStyle competition of the season. Foil gear lets riders perform in light wind, which suits Geneva's conditions. Men, women, youth and junior divisions all compete. The action stays close to shore, so spectators get a clear view of the jumps. The same weekend Geneva also hosts SailGP on the lake, which makes the city a genuine, if unlikely, wind sports hub for a few days.
