iQFOiL Masters World Championship Silvaplana

Date: 17 August 2026 – 21 August 2026

Location: Silvaplana, Switzerland

Organizer: iQFOiL Class

For the first time, the iQFOiL class is holding a Masters World Championship, giving experienced riders a world title of their own in the Olympic windsurf foiling class. The event runs from 17 to 21 August 2026 on Lake Silvaplana, sharing the race area with the third iQFOiL Youth and Junior International Games of the season. That pairing is the point. Parents race alongside their children, and coaches line up on the same start line as their own sailors, something few world championships allow. Silvaplana is a proper venue for it. The lake sits at 1,800 metres in the Engadin valley of Switzerland, and the Maloja thermal wind builds through the afternoon with rare reliability, producing fast, tactical foil racing in flat water. The championship is staged as part of Engadinwind, the wind sports festival held on the lake the same week, with racing based at the Sportzentrum Mulets in Silvaplana.
