Swiss Windsurfing Championships Silvaplana

Date: 29 August 2026 – 1 September 2026

Location: Silvaplana, Switzerland

Organizer: Swiss Windsurfing

Lake Silvaplana sits at 1,800 metres in the Engadin valley and is Switzerland's best-known windsurfing water, thanks to the Maloja, a thermal wind that arrives most summer afternoons. The Swiss Windsurfing Championships are held here from 27 August to 1 September 2026, with national titles decided across slalom and formula disciplines and categories running from under-18 kids through juniors, women and men to a full ladder of masters divisions from 35 up to 55 plus. The centrepiece of the week is the Engadin Surf Marathon, a long-distance race over a traditional 42 kilometre course that is open to windsurfers, kitesurfers and wing foilers. Racing on a mountain lake has its own character: flat water, cold gusts off the passes, and glacier scenery in every direction. The venue has hosted world-level events including iQFoil championships, so the local race organisation knows what it is doing.
