VANORA Engadinwind by Dakine

Date: 17 August 2026

Location: Silvaplana, Switzerland

Organizer: Engadinwind

VANORA Engadinwind is the annual wind sports festival on Lake Silvaplana, high in Switzerland's Engadin valley at around 1,800 metres. The lake's afternoon thermal, the Maloja wind, is unusually dependable, which is why windsurfers and foilers keep coming back. The 2026 edition runs from 17 to 23 August, based at the Sportzentrum Mulets. The centrepiece is the iQFOiL International Games, with around 150 athletes from some 20 nations racing the Olympic windsurf foil class, including a junior generation already being discussed for Los Angeles 2028. The same week brings the first ever iQFOiL Masters World Championship and the U17 and U19 Games, from 17 to 21 August. On 22 and 23 August the 49th Engadin Marathon closes things out, a long-distance event raced across wing, windsurf, kite and sailing. Racing happens close to shore, so spectating from the lakeside is easy and free.
