Marina Gemeentelijke Binnenhaven

Location: Hoofd, Hoorn, Netherlands

Hoorn's municipal Binnenhaven lies in the heart of the old town, entered from the Markermeer through an open lock beside the monumental Hoofdtoren at the Houten Hoofd. The harbour has around 100 visitor berths and is managed by the gemeente Hoorn harbour service, with the harbour office at Hoofd 2a. Visiting yachts pay 2.15 euros per metre per night plus tourist tax. Facilities include showers, toilets, water, electricity, fuel and waste disposal, and the harbour flies the Blue Flag environmental award. Cafes, restaurants and the historic Havenkwartier surround the quays, and the Markermeer opens up directly outside the lock.
