Herreshoff Classic Yacht Regatta

The Herreshoff Classic Yacht Regatta is run from the Herreshoff Marine Museum and America's Cup Hall of Fame in Bristol, Rhode Island, on the waterfront where the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company once built America's Cup defenders. The 2026 edition runs from 28 to 30 August. Friday afternoon brings a feeder race up Narragansett Bay from Newport, starting just north of the Pell Bridge. Saturday has two races followed by the prize giving and dinner ashore at the museum. Sunday opens with a hot lap around Hog Island and finishes with a race back down the bay to Newport, ending off Fort Adams. The regatta counts toward the Classic Yacht Owners Association's Classic Yachts Challenge Series and includes the Herreshoff S Class Centennial Series, a nod to the still-active one-design sloops the yard began producing in 1919. Entries for 2026 close on 7 August.
