Cal Sailing Club Open House August 2 2026

The Cal Sailing Club is a volunteer-run cooperative at the Berkeley Marina, and several times each season it throws open its doors and takes the public sailing for free. The Open House on Sunday 2 August 2026 runs from 1 to 3 pm. Sign up at the table in front of the clubhouse, then club skippers take you out on San Francisco Bay for a ride of around half an hour aboard the club's keelboats and dinghies. Rides are first come, first served, and signups can close before 3 pm on busy days, so arriving at 1 pm when the table opens is smart. Children are welcome from age five with an accompanying adult. There is no catch: the club uses its open houses to introduce people to low-cost cooperative sailing. The clubhouse is at 124 University Avenue on the marina, facing Emeryville, with parking and an AC Transit stop opposite.
