AMYA US One Meter NCR 2026

Date: 12 September 2026

Location: West Sacramento, United States

Organizer: American Model Yachting Association (AMYA)

The US One Meter National Class Regatta is the annual national title event for one of the American Model Yachting Association's most active radio-controlled classes. The US One Meter is a development class: hulls are capped at one meter in length, and beyond a handful of restrictions designers can experiment, so home-built boats still line up against polished production designs. Skippers race from shore, working windward-leeward courses in fleets that reward boat handling and wind reading over budget. The NCR rotates around the country each year under AMYA sanction, and the 2026 edition is scheduled for September 12-13 in West Sacramento, California. Expect a weekend of short, sharp races, with dozens of heats sailed back to back and a scoring system that keeps everyone racing rather than waiting around. It is serious competition run at club scale, which is much of the appeal. Spectating is easy since the whole course sits within sight of the bank.
