The AWSI Board Sports Expo is the annual trade show of the Association of Wind and Watersports Industries, held from 9 to 11 September 2026 in Hood River, Oregon. The association represents retailers and suppliers across kiteboarding, wing foiling, windsurfing, foiling and stand up paddling, and this is the North American industry's main gathering: brand presentations of next year's gear, dealer meetings, industry awards and networking. The location does a lot of the work. Hood River sits in the Columbia River Gorge, where reliable summer thermals funnel wind up the river, and the expo takes full advantage with on-water demos so shop owners and team riders can test new kit in real conditions rather than judge it on a booth display. It is primarily a trade event rather than a public festival, but the concentration of pro riders and prototypes on the water makes the Gorge worth watching that week.
