AMYA CPM Race Week Star 45 National Championship 2026

Date: 12 September 2026 – 13 September 2026

Location: Grasonville, United States

Organizer: American Model Yachting Association (AMYA) / CPM

CPM Race Week is an annual gathering of radio-controlled yacht racers on Maryland's Eastern Shore, hosted by Chesapeake Performance Models, and it doubles as the national championship venue for the Star 45 class. The Star 45 is a 45-inch model inspired by the classic Star keelboat, and the class has a strong tradition of wooden, builder-finished boats; prizes at past editions have gone not only to race winners but to the best-built hull on the dock. The 2026 Star 45 National Championship is listed on the AMYA calendar for September 12-13 in Grasonville, near Kent Narrows on the Chesapeake Bay. Racing is close-quarters fleet racing sailed from shore, with skippers from along the East Coast and beyond making the trip. The event has drawn local press coverage in past years, which is rare for model yachting and says something about how established this fixture has become.
