Steering the Course 2026 - Festival 2
Date: 25 September 2026 – 4 October 2026
Location: Various locations worldwide, Worldwide
Organizer: World Sailing
Steering the Course is World Sailing's global festival for women and girls in sailing, run twice a year through national federations, clubs and classes. Rather than a single regatta, it is a coordinated window of local activity: taster sessions, coaching clinics, courses for race officials and technical staff, club open days, whatever a venue can put on to bring more women into the sport, on the water and off it. This second festival window of 2026 runs from 25 September to 4 October. The 2026 edition is the sixth and carries the theme 'Give to Gain', borrowed from International Women's Day, with an emphasis on mentoring: experienced sailors, coaches and officials giving their time so others can move up. Since launch the festival has reached tens of thousands of participants across dozens of countries. Check with your national sailing federation to find, or register, an event near you.
