Vela Clásica Menorca - Copa del Rey de Barcos de Época brings classic and vintage yachts to Mahón from 25 to 29 August 2026, the 22nd edition of the event. Club Marítimo de Mahón organizes the regatta, and the setting does a lot of the work: Mahón's long natural harbour is one of the deepest in the Mediterranean, and watching gaff-rigged boats from the early 1900s beat out of it under full sail is the main reason spectators line the shore. The fleet is divided into vintage, classic and spirit-of-tradition classes, with many boats over a century old and still racing hard. Crews take it seriously - this is a Copa del Rey, with the trophy standing alongside the modern version in Palma - but the atmosphere ashore is relaxed, evenings included.
