Spain Sail Grand Prix Valencia 2026

SailGP comes to Valencia for the first time on September 5 and 6, 2026, after the Spanish round moved under a three-year hosting deal with the city. It is one of the later events on the Rolex SailGP Championship Season 6 calendar. The format is compact by design: national teams race identical F50 foiling catamarans, capable of speeds near 100 km/h, on short courses laid tight against the shore. Qualifying fleet races run Saturday, with the finals decided Sunday afternoon, all inside a few hours. Valencia knows this kind of sailing. The city hosted the America's Cup in 2007 and 2010, and the port infrastructure built for those regattas still shapes the waterfront. Expect a race village, hospitality zones, nautical technology exhibitions and around 10,000 spectators across the weekend. Tickets must be bought online in advance; there are no sales at the venue on race days.
