Copa del Rey MAPFRE 2026

Date: 1 August 2026

Location: Real Club Nautico de Palma, Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Organizer: Real Club Nautico de Palma

The 44th Copa del Rey MAPFRE runs from 1 to 8 August 2026 on the Bay of Palma, hosted as always by the Real Club Nautico de Palma. Entries passed 100 boats well before the start, with teams from close to 20 countries competing in six classes. The format is familiar: the opening weekend is given over to registration, measurement and practice, with the official ribbon-cutting on the club's main terrace on Saturday 1 August, and scored racing runs from Tuesday 4 to Saturday 8 August. Palma Bay is one of the most dependable racing venues in Europe, with a thermal sea breeze that builds most afternoons. The regatta has been the centrepiece of Mediterranean big-boat racing for four decades, and the entry list regularly includes world champions and America's Cup sailors. Expect a packed dock at the club and a crowded bay all week.
