Kunié Sailing Week

Kunie Sailing Week is organized by the Cercle Nautique Caledonien and runs October 10 to 14, 2026, split between a passage race and several days of relaxed sailing at the Isle of Pines. The format is out and back: the fleet leaves Noumea on Saturday morning, sails down to the island, and returns on the Wednesday evening. In between, the programme stays on the lagoon, with daily fun races that put Kunie hosts from the Isle of Pines aboard the visiting boats, and sailing introductions on Kuto Beach open to local young people. The atmosphere is family-friendly and deliberately unhurried; the week is as much about connection between sailors and islanders as it is about results. The venue is the draw here. The Isle of Pines sits at the southern edge of New Caledonia's great lagoon, and there are worse places to spend four days between races.
