Centuries-old Malinké marsh-fishing festival held in the village of Baro (Kouroussa Prefecture, Haute-Guinée) on the eve of the first rains of the season. Combines a communal pond fish-catch with traditional Mandingue dances and doundoumba percussion; tradition dates from the 13th-century Mandingue Empire.
