11:Metre Worlds Hankø

Date: 1 August 2026 – 7 August 2026

Location: Hankø Yacht Club, Hankø, Norway

Organizer: Kongelig Norsk Seilforening (KNS)

The 11:Metre One Design World Championship 2026 runs from 31 July to 7 August at Hankø, Norway, organized by the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club (KNS) with the 11:Metre International Class Association, 11:Metre Norway and Hankø Yacht Club. The 11mOD is a slim, sporty Ron Holland-designed one-design keelboat sailed by a small crew, with its strongest fleets historically in Scandinavia, and Hankø, the classic regatta island in the outer Oslofjord, is about as natural a venue for its Worlds as exists. Interest was registered from more than 25 boats well before the event, with crews from Hungary, the USA, Belgium, Australia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Norway and Sweden, and organisers expecting around 30 boats and over 150 sailors. Racing is windward-leeward, and at least six races must be completed to constitute a valid championship. The week runs back-to-back with the Half Ton Classics Cup at the same venue, making Hankø busy that week.
