Jachthaven Wemeldinge
Location: Sluisplateau 33, Wemeldinge, Netherlands
Jachthaven Wemeldinge occupies the former lock complex of the Kanaal door Zuid-Beveland, opening straight onto the Oosterschelde National Park, and is one of the larger marinas in Zeeland with around 535 berths, all with finger pontoons, water and electricity. Run by Van der Rest Jachthavens, which also operates the quieter Jachthaven Kats across the water, it holds Blue Flag status and HISWA membership, and its jachtservice yard handles maintenance and repairs on site. Wemeldinge itself is a lively diving and watersports village, and the marina makes a first-rate base for tidal sailing among the seals, mussel beds and strong currents of the Oosterschelde.
