Jachthaven Spoordok Musselkanaal
Location: Havenkade 11b, Musselkanaal, Netherlands
Jachthaven Spoordok is the visitor harbour of Musselkanaal, a canal village in eastern Groningen on the through route between Stadskanaal and Ter Apel. The basin, a former railway dock 200 metres from the village centre, holds 25 transient berths and no permanent moorings, so space is rarely a problem for crews cruising the Groningen and Drenthe canal network. Facilities are solid for a small municipal harbour: showers, toilets, washing machine and dryer, free WiFi, a chemical toilet disposal point, a dirty-water pump-out and a slipway. A camper site shares the dock. The boating season runs from 1 May to 1 October, while the camper pitches open a month earlier. Shops and cafes lie within short walking distance.
