Jachthaven Scheemda

The municipal marina of Scheemda lies on the old Winschoterdiep in the Groningen municipality of Oldambt and is run by Havenbeheer Oldambt, which also manages the harbour in Winschoten. Around fifty berths serve permanent moorers and visiting crews, though the approach carries a firm restriction: a fixed clearance of 2.90 metres keeps sailing yachts out and makes this motor boat and sloop territory. Facilities are solid for a village harbour, with showers and a wheelchair-accessible toilet, shore power, water, a waste water and chemical toilet station, a trailer slipway, free wifi and camera surveillance. A shopping centre with supermarkets and a bakery lies within walking distance, and Scheemda station is close by.
