Jachthaven Scharsterbrug / Skarsterbrege

Location: Trijegea 11, Scharsterbrug, Netherlands

The village harbour of Scharsterbrug, Skarsterbrege in Frisian, is a small and quiet stop on the Scharsterrijn in the municipality of De Fryske Marren. The marina counts just 24 permanent berths and around 20 places for passing boats, and facilities are deliberately modest, which suits crews after a peaceful night away from the busier Frisian hubs of Joure and Lemmer nearby. The waterway links the harbour to the main Frisian lake circuit, so it works well as an overnight halt between the Tjeukemeer and the waters around Joure. The harbour is run locally and reached on 06-46173033; the village itself offers little more than the essentials.
