Jachthaven Pieter Bouwe

Location: Wieldijk 30, Gaastmeer, Netherlands

Jachthaven Pieter Bouwe lies at Gaastmeer in the south-west Frisian lake district, sheltered behind reed beds and trees. The harbour takes about 150 boats, with roughly 120 permanent berths and 10 visitor places in boxes from 7 to 12 metres. Every pier has water and power. Open water is close: the Fluessen and Heegermeer begin just beyond the harbour, and the IJsselmeer is about an hour away through the lock at Workum. Alongside the berths the yard runs a crane, maintenance and repair services and boat rental, so it works as a full-service base for the lakes. Gaastmeer itself is a small waterside village between Heeg and Workum.
