Jachthaven Oosterhaven
Location: Oosterkade 1001, Groningen, Netherlands
The Oosterhaven lies where the Eemskanaal meets the Winschoterdiep, on the eastern edge of Groningen's city centre. The basin was dug for commercial shipping and the marina is built against a row of old warehouses, so the setting is urban but calm, with the shops and bars of the city a few minutes' walk away. The harbour has around 70 berths and welcomes passing yachts. The water is about four metres deep, enough for deep-draught boats, and the jetties have water and electricity. Coming from Delfzijl you follow the Eemskanaal, cross the junction with the Van Starkenborghkanaal, and after two bridges you are in the harbour, well placed for the standing mast route.
