Scottish Dragon Championship 2026

Date: 19 September 2026 – 20 September 2026

Location: Royal Forth Yacht Club, Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Organizer: British Dragon Association / Royal Forth Yacht Club

The Scottish Dragon Championship 2026 is hosted by the Royal Forth Yacht Club at Granton Harbour, Edinburgh, on 19 and 20 September. The Dragons share the weekend with the Squib Scottish and Northern Championship and the H-Boat Nationals, and the club also runs class racing for 707s and any other keelboat with a handicap of 1111 or less, provided three or more enter. That makes it a proper end-of-season keelboat gathering on the Firth of Forth rather than a single-class affair. The Royal Forth Yacht Club dates from 1868 and sits at Granton's Middle Pier, a short ride from Edinburgh city centre, with quick access to open water. The club notes that the tides suit a Friday evening arrival for boats sailing in from other parts of the Forth, and Stewart Brewing backs the event. For the British Dragon fleet it is one of the closing fixtures of the 2026 season.
