The RYA Junior Club Championships Grand Final is the culmination of a season-long, team-based competition for sailing clubs across the UK. The 2026 final takes place on 19 and 20 September at Northampton Sailing Club, where twenty club teams that qualified through regional interclub events race for the overall title. Each team must include at least two boys and two girls. Sailors race individually and their results combine into a club score, so squad depth matters more than one star helm. The winning club is crowned RYA Junior Club Champions 2026. The format is deliberately about participation and club pride rather than squad selection. The RYA describes the weekend as fun, competitive and highly sociable, and the mixed-team rule keeps it honest. Northampton Sailing Club was named RYA Active Club of the Year in 2026, so the hosting duty fits. Expect a busy dinghy park and a lot of parents with flasks.
