Salcombe Gin SYC Regatta

Salcombe Yacht Club's annual regatta, sponsored by the town's own Salcombe Distilling Company, runs from 2 to 7 August 2026 in the Salcombe estuary on Devon's south coast. All classes of boat are welcome, and the racing happens close in, with the start and finish line visible from the club terrace, so spectators can follow it with food and a drink in hand. The estuary is narrow, tidal and busy, which makes for tight, tactical sailing, and the local Salcombe Yawl fleet knows every eddy of it. Competitors get a welcome pack, a dinghy pass for Mill Bay beach, and an invitation to the Thursday night regatta party with a Salcombe Gin reception. The shoreside programme fills the evenings with quiz nights, barbecues, live music and the club's traditional pig racing. The 2025 edition was a big success and the club is aiming larger for 2026.
