Sail Canada Formula Kite Senior Championship

Date: 7 August 2026 – 9 August 2026

Location: N/A, Kingston, Canada

Organizer: Sailing Canada

The Sail Canada Formula Kite Senior Championship is the national title event for Canada's Olympic-class kiteboard racers. The 2026 championship runs from 7 to 9 August in Kingston, Ontario, hosted by CORK Sail Kingston out of Portsmouth Olympic Harbour and sailed as part of the CORK Olympic Classes Regatta, which also carries the Sail Canada Senior Championships for the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 dinghy classes. Formula Kite is the foiling kiteboard class used at the Olympic Games. Riders race hydrofoil boards powered by registered production kites at speeds well over 30 knots, on short courses that reward both raw pace and clean tactics, so the racing is quick and easy to follow from shore. Kingston is the natural venue. The harbour was built for the 1976 Olympic sailing events, and the reliable summer thermal breeze on Lake Ontario has made CORK one of North America's longest-running regatta programs.
