ORC European Championship 2026

The ORC European Championship 2026 takes place in Klaipėda, Lithuania from 7 to 15 August, the first time the country has hosted offshore sailing at this level. The event is organised by the Lithuanian Yachting Union under the authority of the Offshore Racing Congress, with a week of racing for ORC International and ORC Club rated keelboats on the Baltic. The venue is the unusual part: the yacht harbour sits in the middle of Klaipėda's old town, a port city founded in 1252, so the fleet is berthed a short walk from the historic centre rather than in a distant marina. A public Regatta Village at the cruise ship terminal runs through the week with entertainment, food and interactive activities. Organisers are also aiming for Platinum certification under the Clean Regattas sustainability programme, which no offshore sailing event in the Baltic states has yet achieved. For Baltic offshore crews this is the headline championship of the 2026 season.
