International Marlin Tournament

Date: 20 September 2026 – 25 September 2026

Location: Montego Bay Yacht Club, Montego Bay, Jamaica

Organizer: Montego Bay Yacht Club

The Montego Bay Yacht Club International Marlin Tournament is Jamaica's long-running deep-sea fishing event, held each autumn out of the yacht club at Montego Freeport. The tournament has run for more than five decades, with the 57th edition among recent stagings, and typically unfolds over about five days of fishing for blue marlin in the waters off Jamaica's north coast. It draws anglers from across the Caribbean, North America and further afield, and the shoreside programme of weigh-ins, parties and prizegiving at the club brings several hundred people to Montego Bay for the week. Visit Jamaica lists it among the island's signature sporting events. Exact 2026 dates had not been confirmed at the time of writing, so check the club's website and social channels before planning a trip around it. The tournament week is the busiest of the year at the club, and casual spectators are part of the scene at the dock.
