GGR SiTraN Challenge Prologue

Charity prologue race for the 2026 Golden Globe Race fleet, sailed out of Les Sables-d'Olonne. Skippers use the race to test their satellite communications, YB tracking and safety beacons ahead of the circumnavigation, while raising money for the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN) and its research into MND, Parkinson's and dementia. No special GGR rules apply: it is an open, informal race for the skippers, their families and friends, with the fleet expected back in port by 19 August.
