Festival des Vieux Gréements de Paimpol

Date: 14 August 2026 – 16 August 2026

Location: Various Brittany ports, Multiple Brittany, France

Organizer: Festival des vieux gréements de Paimpol / FRCPM Patrimoine Maritime

Paimpol's old gaffers festival returns to the Cotes-d'Armor port on 14-16 August 2026, its seventh edition and the first under a new name, the Festival des Vieux Greements, formerly the Fete des Vieux Greements. The formula is straightforward. Traditional sailing vessels and tall ships tie up along the quays and the town builds a three-day party around them. The 2026 programme leans harder on music than past editions, with Axel Bauer, Eiffel and Archimede booked for the main stage and a second stage kept for Breton and local acts. The boats stay central all the same: gaffers, smacks and working craft from Brittany and beyond, moored where visitors can get close to them. The previous edition drew close to 90,000 people, so expect crowds on the harbour front. Day tickets cost 12 euros in 2026 and a three-day pass 25, with reduced rates for children.
