Belfast Maritime Festival 2026

Date: 5 September 2026 – 6 September 2026

Location: Belfast Harbour, Belfast, United Kingdom

Organizer: Belfast City Council

The Belfast Maritime Festival is a free weekend event held each September along the Maritime Mile, the waterfront route through Titanic Quarter from Sailortown to HMS Caroline. Belfast City Council runs it, and the scale is considerable: visiting vessels open for boarding at Queen's Quay and Abercorn Basin, dozens of musicians on a trail along the quays, street theatre, rope-making demonstrations at Hamilton Dock, a science street covering navigation and marine biology, and markets with local producers and artisans. The setting does much of the work. This is the shipyard district where Titanic was built, and the festival puts crowds back on quaysides that were closed industrial ground for a century. Nearly everything is free, with the occasional ticketed evening concert. It is aimed squarely at families rather than sailors, but if you are anywhere near Belfast that weekend it is an easy recommendation.
