2026 Sail Canada Youth Championships

The Sail Canada Youth Championships are the national youth title event, and for 2026 the 29er, ILCA 4, ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 fleets race at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club in Victoria, British Columbia. Check-in is 31 August, with racing from 1 to 4 September. The Club 420 youth title is decided separately in 2026, at CORK in Kingston during Youth Fest in August, so the Victoria event is squarely about the skiff and singlehanded pathways. Beyond the racing, Sail Canada uses the championships for talent identification for provincial and national squads, and as a working event for developing coaches and race officials. For young sailors in Western Canada it is a rare chance at a national-level start line close to home, since many of these events land in Ontario or Quebec. Expect a competitive fleet drawn from clubs across the country, racing on the cool, current-affected waters off Victoria.
