The Sail Canada Senior Championships for the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 classes take place in Kingston, Ontario from 25 to 27 September 2026, hosted by CORK Sail Kingston alongside its Olympic Classes Regatta. Kingston sits where Lake Ontario funnels into the St. Lawrence, and its reliable afternoon breeze is the reason it hosted the 1976 Olympic sailing and remains Canada's default venue for major dinghy championships. The 2026 edition carries extra weight. It doubles as a country qualification regatta for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games, with two national spots available in each of the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7. That draws entries from across North America, the Caribbean, and Central and South America, so the fleet is deeper than a typical national title would produce. Single-handed racing out of Portsmouth Olympic Harbour is easy to follow from shore, and the standard at the front end will be high.
