Jachthaven Waterland

Location: Galgeriet 5, Monnickendam, Netherlands

Jachthaven Waterland is a family firm founded in 1985 and the largest harbour in Monnickendam, with more than 650 berths beside the Hemmeland peninsula on the Markermeer and a further 150 plus at its sister site in Uitdam. It trades as a full-service operation: a yard with boat lift for maintenance and repairs, winter storage, a nautical centre, blue diesel at the fuel berth and charter of Fox 22 sailing yachts. The harbour flies the Blue Flag with Green Flag distinction and is a HISWA member. The old town of Monnickendam, with its restaurants and smoked-fish traditions, is a short walk from the jetties, and the Gouwzee offers sheltered sailing when the Markermeer is rough.
