Jachthaven Ossenzijl

Location: Burg van der Veenweg 26a, Ossenzijl, Netherlands

Jachthaven Ossenzijl sits on the waterway through the village of Ossenzijl at the gateway to the Weerribben-Wieden National Park, on the border of Overijssel and Friesland. The harbour rents out berths and runs a sloop and boat hire operation, a handy base for exploring the narrow canals, reed beds and shallow lakes of the largest lowland peat marsh in north-west Europe. The surrounding waters are ideal for unhurried touring by sloop, small cruiser or canoe, with Kalenberg, Blokzijl and Steenwijk all reachable on a day trip. The yard lies at Burgemeester van der Veenweg 26A, a short walk from the village shops.
