US VMYG National Championship Regatta 2026

Date: 25 September 2026 – 27 September 2026

Location: Honey Brook, United States

Organizer: American Model Yachting Association (AMYA) / VMYG

The US Vintage Model Yacht Group's National Championship Regatta gathers radio-sailed model yachts of older design for several days of racing on a pond. Recent editions have been hosted by the Chester Springs Model Yacht Club at the Tel Hai Camp and Retreat Center in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, west of Philadelphia. The classes are the draw: vintage Marbleheads and 36/600s, schooners, Chesapeake skipjacks, big International A boats and other designs long retired from serious competition, many of them restored hulls or fresh builds from old plans. The US VMYG is a nonprofit devoted to preserving the history of model yachting, and its nationals work as much as a floating archive as a championship. The racing is real, but so is the boat talk on the bank. Competitors must be US VMYG members, and membership in the American Model Yachting Association is encouraged. Spectators just need to find the pond.
