The Caleb Tarleton Memorial Regatta is a catamaran regatta held at Sail Sand Point, the community boating center on the north end of Magnuson Park in Seattle. Racing takes place on the northern part of Lake Washington, north of the 520 bridge, with boats launching straight off the beach and the hand-launch ramps at the North Shore Recreation Area. The event is sailed in memory of Caleb Tarleton and is a fixture on the Hobie Division 4 calendar for the Pacific Northwest, open to all Hobie classes including Waves, 16s, 17s and 18s. Charter Hobie Waves have been available in past editions, which lowers the bar for sailors without their own boat. Sail Sand Point is a nonprofit with a mission of making small-boat sailing accessible to everyone, and the regatta has that character: modest entry fees, beach starts and racing that runs through both days. The 2026 edition is listed for 19 and 20 September.
