This departmental OSIRIS trophy is the annual handicap championship for cruiser-racers in Finistère, at the western tip of Brittany. It is administered by the Comité Départemental de Voile du Finistère from its base in Brest, with rankings published each year; results archives go back through the early 2020s. The format is simple. Boats holding an OSIRIS handicap certificate race in regattas run by clubs across the department, their corrected-time results feed into a common table, and the number of regattas sailed counts alongside the points scored. OSIRIS is the FFVoile system designed for exactly this kind of fleet, family cruisers and older racers included, so a well-sailed thirty-year-old boat can beat something newer and larger. The winners are decided over a whole season of Atlantic and rade de Brest racing, not one lucky weekend.
