Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez closes the Mediterranean season with one of the most photographed fleets in sailing. Around 250 boats gather in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, from wooden classics over a century old to modern maxi yachts, racing in front of the old port with its packed quaysides. The event is run by the Societe Nautique de Saint-Tropez, a club founded in 1862. The 2026 edition is the 28th under the Voiles name and runs from 26 September to 4 October. A particular draw this year: J Class yachts are expected back in the gulf, with at least three of the former America's Cup giants announced. Racing is split between the classic and modern fleets across the week, and the spectacle from the shore is nearly as good as from the water. The harbour village, crew parades and dockside atmosphere are half the point.
