The Tall Ships Races 2026 - Aalborg

Date: 30 July 2026

Location: Aalborg Harbour, Aalborg, Denmark

Organizer: Sail Training International / Aalborg Kommune

Aalborg is the final port of The Tall Ships Races 2026, hosting the fleet from 30 July to 2 August after the last racing leg from Stavanger. The event, organised by Sail Training International with Aalborg Kommune, brings Class A square riggers and smaller Class B, C and D vessels up the Limfjord to berth along the city's quays, a short walk from the centre. Aalborg has hosted the races repeatedly and treats it as the city's biggest party: the organisers expect around 750,000 visitors over four days, with some 1,500 crew members ashore. The program includes the crew parade through the streets, open ships where visitors can board the vessels, concerts and a closing prize-giving for the 2026 series, which earlier called at Aarhus, Harlingen, Antwerp and Stavanger. Everything on the quays is free. The departure parade of sail down the fjord on the final day is the image most people take home.
