Loch Spelve Muster 2026
Date: 1 August 2026
Location: Clyde Cruising Club, Loch Spelve, Scotland
Organizer: Clyde Cruising Club
The Loch Spelve Muster is a Clyde Cruising Club gathering at the Inverlussa Shellfish anchorage in Loch Spelve, a sheltered sea loch on the southwest coast of the Isle of Mull. It is timed around West Highland Yachting Week, bringing together boats competing in or following the week along with any CCC member boats that want to come. All sailors are welcome. There is no racing here. The format is simple: anchor up, go ashore, and join the barbecue, which starts at 17:30 for 18:00. The centrepiece is a mussel feast provided by Douglas Wilson of Inverlussa Shellfish, harvested from the loch you are anchored in, with alternative food for anyone not keen on shellfish. Refreshments are provided and crews are welcome to bring their own drinks. Booking is one ticket per vessel, stating the number of people on board, so the hosts can judge catering. Volunteers to help set up are always wanted.
