IFCA Fin Europeans Hvide Sande

Date: 7 September 2026

Location: Hvide Sande, Denmark

Organizer: IFCA

The 2026 IFCA Fin Slalom European Championships run from 6 to 12 September in Hvide Sande, on the Danish North Sea coast. Ringkjobing Sejlklub organises the event together with WATERZ, the local watersports festival institution that has made this small fishing port a regular stop for international windsurfing. Hvide Sande has form here: it hosted the IFCA Grand Slam Fin Slalom Worlds in 2024, and the venue delivers because of geography. The town sits on a narrow strip of land between Ringkobing Fjord and the open North Sea, so race organisers can pick flat fjord water or proper sea conditions depending on wind direction. Fin slalom is the traditional, non-foiling side of the discipline: heats of riders drag racing around a downwind course, first across the line advances. Expect a mix of seasoned European slalom specialists and Danish locals who know exactly what a September low over Jutland can do.
