The Corsica Classic is a travelling regatta for classic yachts around the coast of Corsica, sailed in stages between ports rather than on a fixed course area. The 17th edition runs from 23 to 31 August 2026, starting in Ajaccio and finishing in Bonifacio, with stopovers at Portigliolo, Propriano, Campomoro and Saint-Cyprien along the island's southwest coast. Entry is open to traditional yachts rated under the CIM 2026 rule, Spirit of Tradition designs, and modern boats racing under IRC or Osiris handicaps. The event is organised by the Corsica Classic Yachting association under the patronage of the Yacht Club de France. Each stopover brings the fleet into a different harbour with shoreside events, so spectators can see the boats up close without owning one. Coastal racing between granite headlands in late August, with wooden masts against the maquis, is the sell, and it is a fair one.
